Assembly Instructions

We only guarantee a rock-solid hold with our 21CARS® Velcro holders if the surface has been thoroughly cleaned and degreased beforehand.

Step 1

Clean the adhesive surface on the vehicle and the back of the license plate free of grease and silicone (with the alcohol wipes supplied or with ethyl alcohol, isopropanol, denatured alcohol, brake cleaner or thinner).

Step 2

If necessary, sand the control plates on the back with fine (approx. 600-grit) sandpaper. (this guarantees a proper hold). This is particularly necessary for new license plates.

Step 3

Before attaching the Velcro strips, be sure to rub thoroughly with a dry cloth. No streaks should remain.

Step 4

Attach 21CARS® Velcro and press firmly .

Step 5

At temperatures below 20°C, all surfaces to be glued should be warmed to lukewarm using a conventional hair dryer. (When using a hot air hair dryer, sufficient distance must be maintained, otherwise the 21CARS® holders can be destroyed!).

What does a set of 21CARS® Velcro license plate holders contain?

The standard set only includes the Velcro without any accessories.

Are the parts approved for road use?

Yes, the license plate holders are approved and do not require registration. However, the customer is responsible for ensuring that his license plates are correctly placed and mounted . For this purpose, the rule according to VTS (Ordinance on the technical requirements for road vehicles) must be observed. The control plates should be mounted so that they do not pose a risk of injury . This means there are no protruding edges of the signs on the bumper. Otherwise, this can be objected to by the road traffic office.

I have 2 vehicles, how many sets do I need for both cars?

One set is for one car . If you have 2 cars and use the holders for interchangeable plates, you must order the desired item from the spare parts section. Go directly to the spare parts here.

Do I have to be a mechanic to install the holders?

No . The conversion usually only takes a few minutes.
